Alastair Brown FRCS (Plast)
Mr Alastair Brown is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon based at the Ulster Hospital, Belfast. He is Programme Director, responsible for the training of Plastic Surgeons in Northern Ireland.
Mr Brown is on the GMCs specialist register for Plastic Surgery.
Mr Brown Graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast and trained in Plastic Surgery in Belfast and Scotland, with attachments in Birmingham, Oxford and Derby. He spent a period of time in Ghana, Africa. He was successful in securing the Inamed International Aesthetic / Cosmetic Surgery fellowship in King Edward VII Hospital, London. He also obtained the British Society of Surgery of the Hand Travelling Fellowship to allow him to attend the Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
He has published extensively in the Journals in UK and USA and is a reviewer for the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He has presented at numerous meetings both nationally and internationally.
Mr Brown’s areas of interest include Cosmetic / Aesthetic Surgery, non-surgical facial rejuvenation (botox / fillers), Hand Surgery, Skin Malignancy and General Plastic / Reconstructive Surgery.
